Since Dom, Ian, Michael, and Paul created Dig 11 years ago, we’ve grown up a lot. We’ve solidified what we stand for, where we believe the industry is going, and what we’re great at. We’re a team of almost 200 across multiple countries. We built Upsiide from the ground up. And across both of these brands, we’re working with some of the biggest and fastest growing global businesses.
Reimagining the look and feel of your brands is no small feat. We wanted both Dig Insights and Upsiide to be distinctive within their categories but aligned with one another. Most importantly, we wanted them to feel authentic to who we are. So we spent the better part of 2021 developing beautiful new brands alongside Focus Lab, and then bringing them to life with the help of Craft & Crew.
Our new looks
In our work with Focus Lab, we landed on a visual direction that reflected the DNA of both Dig Insights and Upsiide. We wanted a visual identity for both that speaks to who we are as an organization: tech-forward and future-focused, while still being grounded in the human experience. We’ve leveraged hyper-realistic 3D and pattern work that feels textural but also natural to showcase the duality.
Through brainstorming and research for our new logo marks, we kept coming back to this idea of a ‘nugget’ of insight. When exploring different logo marks for Dig Insights, the rounded ‘D’ of ‘Dig’ felt like something we could play with, grounding us to what it is we really do - help people find the most insightful bits of information. We wanted the logos to be about discovery. Once we’d landed on the logo for Dig Insights, Focus Lab quickly presented us with one for Upsiide that felt incredibly right; it leveraged the perfect circle but through a new lens.
Our new websites
We’ve launched the Dig Insights and Upsiide websites to reflect our new visual direction (thank you, Craft & Crew!). In addition to refreshing the design of these sites, we’ve refreshed the information and content to better reflect who we are as an organization. We’d love you to see both websites for yourself!
Paul Gaudette, our CEO, shares his thoughts on our new visual direction:
“We spent a lot of time in 2021 thinking about who we are as a company, what we stand for, what makes us different, and what gets us excited. We wanted the passion for what we do to be communicated through the visual design of our brands. Our team has spent a tremendous amount of effort putting this all together and we are very excited to be able to share this with you. The only reason we have gotten to this point is because of our team, our partners, and our clients. To all of you, thank you for your continued support and your trust. We are excited for this next stage of our journey and can’t wait to see what comes next.”
What next?
In one word: lots. You’ll see us making some noise about our new visual brands on LinkedIn, at the upcoming Quirks Chicago and IIEX Austin conferences, and sprinkled all over the internet. But we’re still the same Dig with all of the same values and expertise.
